Students’ Union

The Student Union is there to represent and help all Further Education students. The governing body of the union is the Students Council. This is made up of elected representatives from each class group.

The Coláiste Dhúlaigh Students Union is governed by a constitution. A copy of this constitution is available from your executive officers or in the Student Union Office.

The Coláiste Dhúlaigh Students Union is made up of seven executive officers and a student council. The governing body of the union is the Students Council. This is made up of elected representatives from each class group. These elections are held in September, and all full time further education students are eligible for election.

Elections for executive officers are held every year in January. All full time further education students who are not in the final year of their course are eligible for election for election.

A word from the Union

The student Union is here to represent and help all the Further Education students in Coláiste Dhúlaigh. The common room and Union office are located in the Coolock campus, and are there to be used by all students.

If you have any queries or problems, do not hesitate to let one of the officers know, or contact us through your class rep.
The phone number for the union office is 01 8477704, or you can e-mail us at cdstudentunion@hotmail.com. We will do our best to help. (Remember, we are full time students here – just like you!!).

Student Council

Every class in the college should have two representatives on the student council. The role of class rep is nothing onerous, you are simply the voice of your class at the council meetings. The meetings will be held roughly every 4/5 weeks. We can only improve if you tell us how.
