The Journalism and New Media course aims to empower students to tell their stories in ways that inform, educate, and entertain their audience.
In a rapidly changing media environment the core skills of story selection, investigation, fact checking, and clarity of message are more needed than ever. This one year course aims to align traditional journalistic skills with modern and varied ways of storytelling, including; podcasting, radio, video, print, and online publication.
Careers in journalism revolve around the key skills of research and writing but strong communication skills are in demand in copywriting, corporate communications, public relations, and social media specialists.
