Part-Time Day & Evening Courses
CDCFE offers an exciting range of part-time courses during the day and evening, now celebrating its 50th year in education! Our courses are designed to improve a student’s competence; skills and to prepare one for further and higher education and training. Our part-time courses are also for those who wish to return to education for the enjoyment of learning itself and/or for the social interaction. Anyone from the age of 16+ is welcome to enrol! Younger students may avail of courses to participate in the Gaisce awards and/or to have that extra qualification for entry to better opportunities for work or further study.
When registering for our certified courses, please ensure you provide your DOB; PPSN; Gender & Name (as you want it to appear on a certificate). For most occupations you will need a NIL Garda Vetting report. When you have registered for your part-time course, please download the Komeer app and sign up to CDCFE! Communication to the students will be via the Komeer App!
A distinctive feature, which the college is proud of, is its ability to respond to the educational needs of the local working population, community & groups plus the individual. CDCFE’s Further Education Part-Time [FEPT] Department welcomes any request or query for new programs from an individual or group of people.
Interviews are held for our top-up degree courses and applications are processed from March each year. Interviews are held for a limited number of part-time courses – view the relevant course in the part-time prospectus / website for further details.
Course fees must be paid in full at enrolment. Cheques, postal orders & drafts should be made payable to the ‘City of Dublin E.T.B.’ Please do not send cash with postal applications. No cash accepted. Fees are only refunded where a class fails to form. Duration of a term may be adjusted to suit lower demand. Partial fee waivers are available for some social welfare recipients – enquire prior to registration. Proof of P.P.S. number and written evidence of social welfare status is essential from the relevant agency, a copy of which must accompany your partial fee waiver request.
