eSport Media Management

eSport Media Management (Marketing – 5M2069)

eSports turns online gaming into a spectator sport.  It mimics the experience of watching a professional sporting event, except instead of watching a physical event, spectators watch video gamers compete against each other.

eSports is classified as a game, like chess and bridge, not a sport.  In some other countries around the world, where ’mind’ games are classified differently, esports is recognised as a sport.

eSport entertainment industry is rapidly growing with live stream videogaming and influencer enthusiasts being approached by marketers from varied sectors as part of their branding management.

Currently there are no courses that offer structured training to prospective and growing.  As the industry continues to grow around the world, more jobs and career pathways are being created in eSports, creating a demand for people with specific skills.
